I'll Take Tennessee tours are designed to inspire students to embrace and appreciate their Tennessee heritage. It is the knowledge of hardships and sacrifices encountered by our ancestors upon which a foundation of good citizenship is laid.
I'll Take Tennessee has a goal to educate students on the historical facts of Tennessee. This goal is secondary to another goal ~ helping students see their place in the ongoing story of Tennessee. Only with this perspective will students come to understand that conducting themselves well as citizens of Tennessee and of the United States of America is the only proper response to the lessons of history.
